West and East, Barcelona and Lisbon, fado and rumba catalana, Barceloneta and Mouraria, Portuguese and Catalan, Ampurdan and Alentejo.

Two antipodes of the Iberian Peninsula united by the Sun, beauty, architecture, beaches, culture and unfortunate history with two very different endings.

Today I am a tourist in both of the places with permanent memories. In one of them, a whole life, or almost, and in the other, a life that could have happened, but it didn’t.

My eternal gratitude for both, forever in my heart.
